Share Target Configuration for PWA

Enable HUBB24 to receive shared content from other apps

What is Share Target?

Share Target allows your PWA to appear in the native share menu on Android, iOS, and Windows. Users can share content FROM other apps TO your HUBB24 app.

Example Use Cases for HUBB24:

Share photos from gallery → Auto-create product listing
Share product description → Pre-fill listing form
Share product link → Quick reference listing

How to Fill Share Target in PWABuilder

Android Package Configuration

When generating your Android app bundle in PWABuilder, look for the "Share Target" section under advanced options.

Copy these exact values:

Action URL/pages/AddProduct

The page that handles shared content

Encoding Type (enctype)application/x-www-form-urlencoded

How It Works for Users

Step 1: User Shares Content

User is in another app (e.g., Gallery, Browser, Notes) and taps the Share button

Step 2: HUBB24 Appears in Share Menu

Your HUBB24 app icon shows up in the native share menu alongside other apps

Step 3: Content is Received

HUBB24 opens to the "Add Product" page with the shared content pre-filled

Step 4: User Completes Listing

User fills in remaining details (price, category, etc.) and publishes the product

Testing Share Target

Note: Share Target only works in installed PWAs, not in regular browsers.

On Android:

Install your PWA from PWABuilder's generated APK
Open Gallery app and select a photo
Tap Share → Look for HUBB24 icon
Tap HUBB24 → App opens with photo ready to list

On Windows:

Install PWA from Edge/Chrome
Right-click an image or text in any app
Select "Share" → Look for HUBB24
Content is shared to your app
